Louisiana
$79
Everything above, plus more of it
Louisiana is the outlier among notary exams: a four-hour civil-law examination, a state study guide that costs about $100 on its own, and historically low pass rates. The bank is correspondingly larger and covers civil-law concepts no other state tests.
What you are actually buying
Most notary prep is one national bank sold fifty times with the state name changed. Ours is written per state from that state's own statute, which is why the banks differ in size — a state with more distinct notary law has more to test. You can see the exact question count for your state on its page, and you can try five real questions from it before paying.
Common questions
- Is this a subscription?
- No. One payment for one state, and you keep access.
- Do I need prep for my state at all?
- Only 24 states and jurisdictions require a notary exam. If yours is not listed, it commissions notaries by application or a required course instead, and we will tell you so on your state's page rather than sell you something you do not need.
- Why do some states have more questions than others?
- Because the banks are written from each state's statute rather than padded to a round number. A state with a longer, more detailed notary act has more testable law in it.
- Can I buy more than one state?
- Yes — each is a separate one-time purchase, and they all appear together when you sign in.
